Best Buddies Recognition
8/28/2025 8:56 am
Heards Ferry is celebrating its third year as an official chapter of the Best Buddies program. We are thrilled to share that our chapter was officially selected as Georgia’s Outstanding Elementary Chapter of the Year! The Best Buddies Elementary Program is designed to offer students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in an elementary school setting, the opportunity to engage in inclusive activities that promote friendship, acceptance, and interaction. Students participate in both group and one-to-one activities to allow for optimal engagement and interaction for all members. By educating younger students about disabilities and the abilities of people with IDD, students will grow with a mutual understanding and respect for their peers. It is Best Buddies' hope that these opportunities will lead students to create more inclusive communities as they grow in life.
Teacher/Staff Gift Fund
7/24/2025 3:06 pm
The Teacher/Staff Gift Fund is used to show our thanks for all that our teachers and staff do. It is used to give a holiday and end-of-year gift to every teacher and staff member at HFE. The suggested per-student amount school-wide is Grade 1-5: $40 & Grade PK-K: $50 (suggested amount is higher because these classrooms have 2 teachers). Of course, any amount you would like to give is appreciated, and a donation is not required. The intent is for all teachers and staff to feel equally appreciated for all of their hard work.

The Eagle Shop is Open!
7/23/2025 6:17 pm
Gear up and show your Eagle Pride!
The Eagle Shop is live with updated designs. Stop by and check out the classic collections you know and love. You will find an assortment of “in stock” and “dropship only” products. The in-stock product will be delivered to your oldest child/class, so provide that at checkout, every Friday for that week’s orders. Dropship only comes directly to your door and has a small shipping fee, but we were able to get more PINK Feelin’ Groovy sizes this way, so if you want one, now is your chance!
Lastly, we had an obscene amount of sock requests, so we are doing a PRE-ORDER for more socks. If we meet our minimum, the order will get placed with our vendor. If not, you will be refunded. Deadline to order is 8/25! We also added an adult size [one size only fits about 8-12size foot].
